Welcome to the world little Kailynn Renae Denney

Proud Nana Renae and baby Kailynn

Well Renae got a call early afternoon on Thursday the 29th from Kristen that there were some complications (won't get into the medical jargon b/c it's not necessary) and the doctors were going to induce labor. Renae called me after she got off the phone with Kristen. As I wasn't doing much at work I volunteered to go get them a phone card at Walmart so they could begin calling people in the states. So I whizzed over to Wally World picked up two Skype phone cards and an AT&T phone card and drove quickly but legally to the VA. I got there and Renae says my flight leaves at 3pm. I look at my watch and it's 1:45pm. Holy Crap. So I told her I would meet her at home and help her pack and find her passport. I'm parked out front and she says "I'm parked out back", so now hurriedly and so legally I start driving home. I get about halfway home when Renae calls and says, "I forgot you dropped me off at work this morning." So I flip a quite illegal U-turn and drive quite expeditiously back to the VA. When we both got home it was like 202pm crap. So I tell her I will go upstairs and look for her passport and start grabbing socks and the like. I grab her clothes, but the passport isn't there. So I take the clothes downstairs to the suitcase and look in the desk for her passport, not there. Worry sets in. I look in the firebox, there it is, and I tell her it expires the end of this year. So we have her packed sorta by 220pm. The suitcase contains breast pump, robe, baby bag, video camera, and a few clothes for Renae and happens to be over 50kg. At that point I told Renae to just pay the overage cost, don't worry about it. So we load the car and get her to the airport where her bag was overweight, but the agent said she was allowed two bags so let her one overweight bag go through. We had 20 min before her plane loaded so I sat with her and Kristen called, I got to talk with Kristen for a few minutes, then began calling the other kids to let them know what she told me.
They broke Kristen's water around 530pm (Italy time) and gave her the epidural at 8pm (Italy time). Renae called me around 230MST and told me Kristen delivered the baby about 45 min ago on January 30th. Kailynn was 6lbs14oz and longer than 20 inches with long little fingers. Renae said they would probably send out pictures by sometime late Sunday. Both momma and baby are doing well. So are Clayton, Nana Renae, and Julie (maybe I'll get to be an adopted Nana Julie)

Katie and Kaleb Skiing 1/25/2009 Powderhorn

Renae and Roby took the kids up to Powderhorn. Dr B. wanted me to hold off a week so I didn't go. Here are some movies that Renae took.

LOOK OUT JULIE COMPLETED HUNTER'S EDUCATION COURSE!

For the last four evenings from 6-9pm I attended the Hunter's Education class at the DOW in GRJ. Last night was the culminating event of testing and shooting. It was an interesting class with numerous kids who thought they knew everything there was to know about hunting, guns, and wildlife. I was a little concerned about how I was going to shoot a .22 rifle with a cast on my left arm and soon found out. Before we took the test we watched a video on field dressing a deer. Geez' em pete, Clayton you are so going with us. There are so many ways to screw up the meat when you field dress, it's not funny. So then we took the test, our instructor read the test questions out loud as there were several people (adults included) who couldn't read. I was on question 37 of 50 when Al, instructor finished reading question 9. I finished first and got a 98%, but that also meant I would be in the first group to shoot the rifles. So he called the first 10 people and we went into the range and examined the rifles. .22 single shot bolt action rifles. Al let us get used to the feel of the rifle. I figured out the best way to hold the rifle was on one knee with my arm across the bench and the rifle on my arm. He then handed us ten round which we had to load after every shot, meaning pull bolt back, put rifle on safe, load round, push bolt forward, take safety off, sight, and shoot. Each shot took me about 3 min but I got them all off. Passed the shooting part and was handed my orange card, YEAH.

BABY'S got a bran' new cast!

Apparently one needs more than a Master's degree to figure out how to run the video camera. I thought I was filming Renae cutting off my temp cast and new nurse Karyn with the horrified look on her face while it was being done. But all I got was 5 min of video of the camera sitting in my lap while Dr. Boardwine and I talked football. Jeez! So I am going to try to get the X-Ray films of my wrist to load onto the blog. Dr. B put on my permanent cast and again said if my wrist deviates any more he will pin it, which could take three weeks before he will know for sure if it has deviated. Until then he said I could go boarding, YEAH.

Well you only have to tell me once. This morning I called Powderhorn and booked a two hour lesson with Bob. Hey if you find a good instructor you should be loyal. So Sunday while Renae and Roby take the kids I'll be in another boarding lesson.

I figure if I don't get back on my board now, I'll let fear of getting hurt set in and would never try it again. So I'm getting back up on my horse.

UPDATE
sO i WENT INTO THE va TODAY BECAUSE MY CAST WAS RUBBING MY THumb raw. Karyn (new nurse) cut it off, I thought she was going to have a heart attack. I had three more x-rays taken and Mary Lasley put a new one on. Mary then called me once I got back to work and told Dr. Boardwine didn't like how my lateral view looked and wanted more x-rays. So I went back to the VA and had more pictures taken. Mary then said it would probably be best if I didn't board for 4-6 weeks. What I said, she said Dr. B thinks the same. So when Dr. B came to look at the pictures and I told him if he really didn't want me to, but it would really depress me. He said he would rather me wait till next week. So I rescheduled my lesson for 2/1/09. Renae and I are also going 1/30.
UPDATE 1/26/2009
I had my appt this morning with Dr. B. He looked at my X-Rays and said it looks like my break is healing well. When I looked at them I was worried because it looked like some of the fragments were more separated. But so far no surgery for me. I see Dr. B again in two weeks. He said they would then take off my cast and put me in a "Cock-up Splint", we'll need to rename it though because I don't have one of those.

Another day of firsts at Powderhorn! Snowboarding lesson #3.

Kaleb during his lesson.

Me boarding down the hill.

Roby going through the trees.

Here is a quote from the Reader's Digest I saw yesterday. "Snowboarding is an activity that is popular with people who do not feel that regular skiing is lethal enough." Dave Barry

Another adventure! I'm going to hold this adventure until it chronologically happened in the day. So last week instructor, Bob, said that this week the group decided to meet at 10 am instead of 9 am. So Roby and the kids got over to the house around 0745 and we cooked breakfast and had prepped a turkey to cook while we were gone. We were loaded in the car and off by 0820, we stopped by Phillips 66 to get gas and the Powderhorn buy one get one lift tickets. Then we were off with no car problems this time.

We got to Powderhorn around 0850 and the crowds were already swarming. We managed to park in the mid level parking. This week we decided to get dressed in the car vs toting everything into the lodge and bringing things back out to the car. Once dressed we headed into the lodge, Renae and I got her and Roby's lift tickets with our GEMS cards. Then I got into line to get my lift ticket. I was really revved about today's lesson because I was getting better. Bob saw me and came over saying we had acquired 6 new students. Bob went off to find the new students, while I waited for our class. Tracy and Darren had gone up on the lift to take a run before our lesson began. Pretty soon I saw Krazy and Tiffany showed up a little after 10am. We finally got started with our lesson around 1020. Of course a fell getting off the lift, I sat and did a little chant hoping to get off the lift at least once today without falling. In my defense I stayed up after getting off the lift for like 3 seconds, unfortunately I was standing on someone else's board.

Katie skiing with her instructor

So the first run down was basically practicing our turns. The 6 new students probably half of the really didn't have the turns down. That run was down the "Magic Tree Line" or something like that. Were you board from one woodland (cutout) creature to the next on the opposite side of the run. Bob, being the good instructor he is, helped the others really work on their turns.

After we got back down we loaded back on the lifts and headed back up. I wiped out, naturally. We headed down and Bob, tried teaching us how to board a 360 turn. I was able to complete one, but then fell trying to do another one. Our objective this run was to pick up some speed and make smaller turns. I did ok on this exercise. We worked our way down and I linked 4 turns together before wiping out. Bob let some of us break for lunch so I meet up with Roby and Renae for lunch. We decided to eat outside because it was super nice out. It was hovering around 33 degrees, but also made the slopes icy and hard.

After lunch I met back up with my class. While we were standing there we saw ski patrol bring down two boarders on toboggans. We headed up the lift again, this time we were intermingled with the pee wee skiers including Kaleb. Kaleb got paired with Krazy, luckily I didn't get paired because I have enough trouble. So I watched Kaleb try to get on the lift, being to short he wasn't able to get on and Krazy caught him as the lift was going up. They stopped the lift and got him situated. As I got off the lift this time I actually stood up on my board, YEAH. We then took a class photo and headed down "Bottom's Up" for the first time. This is the steepest green Powderhorn has. I crashed twice I think coming down the first time, but linked 4-5 turns together.

We all made it down and headed for the lift again. Roby and Renae were on the car lift behind me. Roby followed Kaleb down and was taking pictures. Renae took the video below of me and Tracy right before my accident occurred.

Me and Tracy working our turns.

I started down "bottom's Up" and crashed once, hopped back up onto my toe edge switched to my heel edge. I was working my heel edge when I dropped my front foot to start a toe edge turn. The front of my board caught some ice or snow and I flipped. I must have stuck my left hand out to catch me, because when I finished landing, I realized I was screaming and cradling my wrist. I laid there for several minutes while Bob and Renae worked there way down to me. Soon my board was off and I was rolled over onto my back. Renae took off my glove and didn't see anything right away. She yelled for Roby to get ski patrol, while I sat there yelling in pain. I told both Bob and Renae I wanted to walk down, so they helped me up to my feet. We all started walking down when ski patrol arrived. I told them I wasn't riding down strapped in the toboggan, he said I could just sit there and ride down, which I decided to do. They took me down to the office and cut away part of my long underwear so they could look at my wrist. Which was in the shape of an inverted spoon. They put a SAM splint on while Renae started calling the VA to see who was on call. Luckily it was Dr. Boardwine, because he is the only person I was going to let touch my arm. We waited for the kids to finish their lessons and I talked with Bob.

We rolled into the VA around 430pm, after dropping Roby and the kids off at the house. We went up to X-Ray after checking in. What pain getting X-Rays taken ,wholly cow. Dr Boardwine then came in and put a temp cast on me. He said if I lost any more degree of movement he would take me to surgery to pin my wrist. I got a shot for pain, which made me loopy. Off to home and bed.

Today I get my permanent cast on, which I'll take video of. I told the good doctor that I wanted to go back to board this Sunday, he said no problem.

12th Annual Creative Arts Festival Grand Junction

Well this year for the second time since being employed with the VA I have entered the Veterans Creative Arts Festival. Two years ago 2007 in Jan I entered two photographs while at the Denver VAMC. Neither photograph received recognition. This year I entered two photographs in Grand Junctions Festival and placed second place for both photographs in the categories that the photos where entered. Here are the photo's I entered this year.

Crytal Mill Outside of Marble, CO

Those who are lucky enough to earn a 1st place ribbon are entered into the National Creative Arts Festival Competition. Maybe next year! Perhaps I will enter the same photos into the County Fair this year and see how I do.

Second Day of Lessons (Snowboarding) at Powderhorn

Stuck on the side of HWY 65.

Me praying to the awesomest Renae.

Roby riding the rails at Powderhorn. Check out the crash at the end.

Well it seems that the Byrd/Fuller family can't do anything without a touch of flare. So the plan was for Roby and the kids to meet Renae and I at the house Sunday morning at 7am. Roby got there and we transferred everything over to Renae's car and off we were to Powderhorn. But when I got onto the highway (like right as I'm going up the on-ramp) the car kinda surges/drains and the battery and brake light come on. I (verbally) was like huh, the battery and brake light came on, no one seemed to pay much attention other than Renae saying "I wonder if it's the alternator." In hindsight I should have turned around at the next exit and we should have taken Roby's truck, but no we proceeded forward to POWDERHORN. Pretty soon before hitting the canyon I noticed the car seemed to be losing it's power steering, again verbally said, huh the car seems to be losing its power steering. There were several hypothesis as to why this might be occurring, but blindly we drove on. As we exited onto 65 Highway up to POWDERHORN (it helps if you say capitalized words in a deep manly voice, it gives the touch of flare needed) I said man the car is getting really hard to turn around the corners, more hypothesis, but onward we went. We just passed the turn off for Colbran when the ABS and Oil light came on, and at that point I announced that we were losing power, MAJ TOM WE HAVE A PROBLEM, no speed indicator, power draining, slowing going up the hill, people behind us flipping us off (not really), I get pulled over to an optimal spot (it's really were the car wouldn't go any further) and we're dead, flying blind, no power, can't even pull the keys out of the ignition dead.

HOLY COW, now what! So Renae proceeds to contact the insurance company so they can send a tow truck. Roby has to pee, it's like 5 degrees outside on the open road, he he he. Then Kaleb has to pee. I'm trying to call Powderhorn to tell the situation so I don't lose my lift ticket and Katie and Kaleb are reserved for lessons as well. Renae asks if Roby will check the battery, so he pops the lid, and pulls on what looks like a black snake (but it isn't) it's a busted in half, shredded if you will fan belt. Great. So the tow truck comes (nice guy from Pro-Tow) loads all five of us in his truck, loads the car, and we are headed back to Junction. Time is now 0937. Tow truck drops Roby and I off at the house to get his truck and takes Renae, Katie, and Kaleb to Waggner's Garage. Funny thing happened on the way to the garage! So when Roby and I hop out of the truck the tow truck driver asks Renae if Roby was her husband and I was her mother-in-law, what the frick.

So needless to say 1030am and we transfer everything over to Roby's truck and do a shoot and scoot through Wendy's drive through (ordering through the back window, because Roby's front windows don't work, lol). We arrive at POWDERHORN around 1130, 30 min before my class resumes it's afternoon lessons. So Renae takes the kids and starts getting them dressed, I'm pulling on my clothes, find some of my classmates to tell them I'm here, and put my boots on, with 5 minutes to spare, yeah. My instructor Bob said I didn't know if you were going to make it or not. Then he said strap in where headed up the lift. Bob was like I'll ride with you....what do you mean I say....on the lift he says....shit I say I have enough trouble with just me on the lift.....but off we go with me in my new padded shorts (highly recommended for those prone to falling). I wipe out getting off the lift, of course. But I'm with my class having fun. Bob tells the rest of the class to take a couple of runs that he is going to catch me up to speed. So we work on toe to heel and heel to toe. I'm getting it better (like Clayton said I would) I actually make 2-3 turns together the first time down, yeah.

We ride back up on the lift together, I wipe out yet again. More practicing of turns. I'm getting it, I'm getting it. Lots of high fives' with Bob, then some lady on skis wipes out hard and Bob goes to check on her, she's hurt. So I scooch down to help with her, then Darren (ortho PA in my class) comes and helps. They call ski patrol to take her down. Renae and I ride down together. I connect 3-4 turns in a row. Man when your not falling down this is fun. I see Roby fly past me a couple of times.

Renae rides the lift with me this time. I wipe out, again. Then she and Roby wait to take pictures of the kids getting off the lift, while I head down. I'm getting better each time I ride down. During one fall, I see Bob walking up towards me. He just wanted to give me my grade card, says I'm a level 3, I tell him he is smoking crack. He said next week I'll be riding the greens without falling, WHATEVER.

THINGS LEARNED BETWEEN LESSON ONE AND LESSON TWO

Lesson two doesn't hurt nearly as much as lesson one, you will get better. Always take something to drink with you, you will get dehydrated. Padded shorts are the best thing since sliced bread. Leaning into the hill doesn't make you go faster it helps you remain in control of your board. Keeping your weight over your front leg actually keeps the board from flying out from under you. Never take three days consecutive lessons it will make your experience worse, spread them out it gives your body time to recover (It took three full days for me to be able to walk normal after my first lesson). Helmet is a pretty important piece of equipment, I would have had three concussions now if I hadn't had it on.

Pain after lesson two! Not to bad actually, I didn't even have to take any meds last night. My right bicep is a little soar because I reached out with my right arm when I fell and I think I pulled it. But doing pretty good.

I think I'm going to like snowboarding.

Katie and Kaleb did awesome yet again this week. I think they will be in lessons one more week then Renae and Roby are going to take them up the greens. Kaleb is a level 2-3 and Katie is a level 1-2.

A Day of Firsts at Powderhorn

Me during my snowboard lesson with Bob.

Kaleb with Lindi his instructor doing a "pizza" snowplow.

Katie with her instructor using the hula hoop method of learning to ski.

Video of me working on my toe edge with Bob.

Sooooooo. We ended up keeping the kids Saturday night so Renae and I packed things Saturday night so we could just pile into the car to be at Powderhorn at 8am. We woke up early and did the morning routine then woke the kids up at 0710 and wrapped them in blankets and strapped them into the car and we were on our way. I had to be there at 0800 to sign forms and what not for my lessons and Katie and Kaleb needed to be signed in by 0900. Once we got there it was mass confusion. I went and signed in, Renae took Katie and Kaleb into the bathroom to change, then I got the keys to the car to get my board and change, then I had all of the kids snow clothes, but couldn't find Renae and the kids. The lobby police wouldn't let me in the lobby with my snowboard, and my hands were way full, but he showed me around to the back where I put my board. I walked up stairs, downstairs, around the building, back out to the car, but still couldn't find Renae. By then it was like 840am and my lessons started at 0900. I finally asked at the lessons counter if the kids age 3 and 5 check in for lessons somewhere else. Of course they said yes at the children's learning center outside. Just then I see Renae coming through the door, I hand her the keys to the car and all the kids stuff and grab my board to go meet with the class. Having never been on a board, strapped into a board, or put on boarding boots, this was quite the experience. Renae came out and showed me how to loosen the bindings so I could get my boots in. The instructor asked if I was regular or goofy, I was like well I'm pretty goofy, Bob (instructor) was like no how do you come down the mountain. I'm thinking probably on my butt. So they had me jump over a snowboard and apparently I'm left foot dominant so regular. Whatever.
So then I had this stomp pad thingy, but since it was two years old (bought my board two years ago and this is the first day I've been on it) wouldn't stick to my board, oh well. Little did I know that latter on this would cause me quite a bit of pain (You know getting off the lift). So Bob, our instructor, gathered the 5 of us and took us over to the learning area. We strapped in our front foot and glided in a circle, ok, then we worked our way up this little incline to glide down, to get the feel of it you know. Then we worked on off-loading from the lift chair. This gave me a little bit of trouble in knowing how to get on the lift without getting my leg caught, keep the board straight, lean into the mountain as you get off, not away from the mountain. So I fell twice in getting off the practice seat. Then we grabbed our boards and all moved over to the easy rider lift. After taking 5 minutes to strap in my lead leg with leash we were working our way over to the chair lift. I made it onto the chair ok, but dumped as I got off apparently I leaned back on my board not forward toward the mountain, so my first fall, but definitely not my last. Then we unstrapped our boards and walked down the first little hill to a flat area so Bob could provide us with a little instruction.
This is where we learned the turtle roll and the toe edge of our boards. I got the toe edge down pretty quickly, however when we stopped to learn about heel or as I like to call it hell edge, I didn't fair so well. This is probably due to just getting comfortable with skiing in powder and leaning back. So adjusting to leaning forward is and was somewhat awkward for me. Not to mention getting up on the board from the hell edge position. Bob had to help me up every time because I'm to fat or have no butt muscles to pull myself up like that. Then he wanted me to sit back like in a chair and pop my feet up so I was on my heels, what the freak are you talking about young man. So I proceeded to fall over maybe 60 times. At some point Bob came running over to me and said I don't want you to fall down so much......yeah right don't ask me to sit in a chair and pop my feet up. Kids. I think I got my heel edge turn once during the whole day. So after getting most of the way down during our first time on the mountain, I said to Bob, are my heels supposed to move around so much, and he kinda gave me this confused look, and came to check my boots and bindings. He said your boots aren't even laced tightly and your liner isn't snug. I just gave him a blank look and he said I'm sorry I just assumed everyone knew about their boots. I said ummm nope, I didn't know I could tighten my liners. So he fixed my boots up and tightened my bindings and I was able to do a little bit better. But by that time I had fallen more than a cast out angel and I hurt, was dehydrated, and hungry. But just in time for our 1 hour lunch break.
Renae was right there so we went to the lodge where I sat down and couldn't answer any questions she posed about lunch because I was so beat. We got lunch eaten, kinda, and I went back down to meet my class. We headed right for the chair lift. This time I must have been really disoriented because I didn't wait at the wait line I followed the people in front of me (in my defense the wait line area is way different than the other resorts I've been too) so the lift operators are yelling stop stop to me, of course I fall down, they stop the lift get me up, move me forward and start the lift. Then I fall getting off the lift, even though they slowed down the lift, great. More toe edge...to heel edge and heel edge to toe edge practice. I fall down 60 more times. We get down the mountain and I am utterly exhausted to the core of my being but my group is going up again. I tell Bob I really need to sit this one out because I'm really dehydrated. So Renae brings me some water while we stand and watch Katie come down from the mountain on skis. She was doing really well. Then pretty soon I see my class coming down and they get in line again, so I join them, then Bob says we don't have enough time because our class ends in 20 min. So we get on the magic carpet conveyor belt and practice. I went down once and fell then told Bob I couldn't fall down anymore and took off my board.
Let me tell you something about pain. It is good to embrace the pain one fells, because if you fight it, it will attack and kill you. My butt hurts from the skin to the inner most part of my butt hole, like trying to push out a thirty pound turd. Then in the midst of all my falling I must have reached out with my left arm and pulled my shoulder, so my chest from shoulder to shoulder hurts like I was doing the "cliffhanger" scene for 3 1/2 days. My wrists and forearms burn like the Chicago Fire of 1908. My shins and calves scream from leaning into my bindings. My butt is still frozen from spending most of the day on it. I have two nice bright purple bruises in my butt crack (how they got there I have no idea). I can't even talk about my inner and outer thighs but I know they are they because they talk to me. Last but not least my butt was so swollen today (lesson + 1) that I couldn't even put my pants on so had to wear my running sweats. But it was a great day. I made it 20-25 seconds on my board without falling.

Katie and Kaleb's story
This is kinda loosely gathered from information from Renae and what I saw, but when I met back up with Renae in the early morning she said Kaleb was throwing a fit and asked if I would go check on him while she went and got her jacket out of the car. I walked in and Kaleb was being held by one of the girls and just wailing. I asked if everything was ok and she said yes, so went back outside. At one point during my lesson Renae had told me that they took Kaleb and three other boys up to the mountain and Kaleb started crying and would just fall down on his skiis. When lunch came, Renae went to go get Katie, and she was super excited and was having fun learning to ski. She was also mad because they had just served Goldfish in the learning center and Renae had pulled her out so she kept asking for Goldfish. After finishing my second run on the mountain and was stopped with Renae for a breather we saw Katie coming down the mountain with her instructor. She looked like she was having an awesome time. The instructor had a hula hoop around her...so instructional tool I suppose. So about an hour later after 2pm when my lesson was over we went to go get Katie and Kaleb from the learning center. We never saw Kaleb on the mountain so assumed he was still throwing a fit and they didn't take him back up. Well when we went in they said Kaleb was on the mountain with Lindi. So we went back outside and there he was coming down smiling and waiving at us. So we took pictures of him getting back on the lift and then coming down again. They did a really good job with both the kids. We signed them up for next Sunday to have lessons again.

Rest of the trip to Kansas

Me and grandma out at the cabin.
Me, Randall, DeWayne, and Randall's fiance Rhea (sp).

On Dec 29th Renae and I brought Grandma Fuller back to El Dorado. We got the car all unpacked (it was pretty full). Then we set up Grandma's bird feeder, rain gauge, and pedometer. She also wanted to go check on a different phone as her current one is pretty complicated, Renae and I couldn't even get it figured out. We took her to Radio Shack where she got the phone initially and there was an old high school class mate, Derek Beaman. We ended up going over to Walmart before we met my brothers and picked her up a easier phone where I saw another classmate, but don't remember his name right off the bat (or even now). How crazy as many times as I've returned to El Dorado I've never seen any of my classmates. We met my brothers Randall (soldier) and DeWayne (soldier) for dinner. Grandma told us that Randall got engaged and he brought his fiance. His wedding is to take place August 4th, 2009 at Botanica in Wichita.

The morning of the 31st, Renae and I met with Tarra for breakfast, how much fun. We caught up with what has happened since we all last saw each other. Tarra is coming out to Colorado in Feb 2009. We will be skiing together at Winter Park on the 7th. So excited. We met mom and Grandma Corfman at Bella Luna in Wichita for lunch, then headed to the airport. After we loaded the plane we had to fight for our seats again. Some girl was sitting in our seats, and she said she was told it was a free for all seating. Renae said no it isn't we didn't pay for our tickets 6 months early for free for all seating. That Frontier wasn't Southwest Airlines or Ryan Air, so she got up and we sat down. I put our carry on into the overhead compartments. As we were taking off we heard our Hot Tamales and Good N Plenty sliding all over the compartment, we started laughing.

We landed and got our car. Met Taysha and Brian down at the 16th street mall to eat and go to a movie. Holy crap what a bunch of drunk people walking around. By the time we got out of the movies (Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons, very different) there were thousands and thousands of people there. Of course that kinda freaked me out since I don't like huge crowds of drunk people. We walked a little bit then headed over to the hotel in Wheatridge

He are headed back home today. Friday we are cooking for the homeless and Sunday is my first snow board lesson.
