Thanksgiving in Junction

Well we waited to have Thanksgiving until yesterday as Brian and Taysha came back to town, Roby and the kids came over too. Renae and I got up and started cooking at 6am. It was funny because we were trying to be quiet but had to chop in the chopper a bunch of veggies, which was really loud. When Taysha and Brian came up we cooked french toast and sausage for breakfast then put them to work.

We finished cooking while Taysha and Brian went to the store to pick up a few items. Roby and the kids came over around 1045am. Here's a picture of the turkey about half way through the cooking process.

Taysha and Brian went downstairs and played games with the kids, Candyland I think, of course Taysha came upstairs complaining that everyone was cheating. We gave Roby the task of cutting the 16 1/2 lb turkey.

We all ate lots of great food. Kaleb really like the sweet potatoes and Katie liked the black olives. We had green bean casserole, turkey, stuffing, deviled eggs, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffed mushrooms, and pumpkin and cherry pie. After we stuffed ourselves we drove out to the Christmas tree farm and Renae and I picked out our Christmas tree and Roby picked out a tree (kinda).

We also rode the hay ride to scope out the perfect Christmas trees.
